AVHOA Membership Directory Updates

Updates for the Arrowhead Valley Membership Directory are needed. All neighbors are asked to submit updated phone and email address information to info@arrowheadvalleyhoa.com. Membership information is only available to Arrowhead Valley home owners. Please contact a board member to gain password access to the directory on the website.

Neighborhood Safety

Please ensure you keep your vehicles locked at all times. We’ve had reports of individuals trying to open vehicles doors and take contents out of vehicles during the overnight times.

Traffic Patterns in Arrowhead Valley
Please take care and exercise caution while driving through the neighborhood. Please drive at or, preferrably, below the neighborhood speed limit of 20 MPH. You may have noticed some neighbors placing the flourescent yellow, plastic “children playing” signs/emblems near the street. This helps identify children at play. We appreciate your cooperations in keeping kids safe! Please obey all traffic laws when it comes to school bus loading/unloading too.

We hope everyone enjoys the fall season!

Arrowhead Valley News Update

April 6th, 2014

It looks like Spring is here! We have had some nice weather, a little rain and a variety of flowers are in bloom!

With warmer weather here, there will be more outdoor activity in the neighborhood. Our annual “Yard of the Week” contest will start next month. The Board will announce the timeframe of the contest soon. Yards will be judged by the Board each week by Sunday, with a winner announced the following Monday. Pictures of winning yards are posted on the website each week. Stay tuned….

We have a few additional topics to list for this post. First, the Board would like to thank the homeowners who paid their AVHOA dues for 2013. For the homeowners who have not yet paid, we are posting this friendly reminder that payment is now due. Please send payment via US Mail to: AVHOA, 4004 Chickasha, Edmond, OK 73013. If you have questions about the dues amount, please contact Ute Chilcote. Contact info for Ute is posted on the “Contact” page of the website.

Another topic we remind home owners about frequently is driving safely in the neighborhood. Please drive responsibly through the neighborhood and be mindful of children crossing the street or playing near traffic. Please watch your speed, especially where Anadarko and Chickasha streets meet Tahlequah Drive. These intersections seem to be the main areas to watch as you drive. We appreciate your attention.

Please check out the neighborhood directory available to you on the website. We like to keep it updated. Please review it and if you notice changes which need to be made, please email info@arrowheadvalleyhoa.com. The directory is password protected and only AVHOA residents have access. If you need access, please contact a board member.

Finally, we will have our annual Arrowhead Valley Garage Sale on Saturday, April 26th from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. So far, we have 11 families committed to participate. Ideally, we would like to have a minimum of 15. If you want to participate, there is still time. Please RSVP by sending an email to info@arrowheadvalleyhoa.com. Please give us your name and home address. We will advertise the event in the Edmond Sun and Daily Oklahoman newspapers. Cost for each family to participate is $15.00. This helps cover the cost of the advertising/banners/signs/etc. Money will be collected on the day of the sale.

Thanks!

Arrowhead Valley News

October 5th, 2013

Fall has arrived….. With warm temperatures behind us, we can now look forward to cooler days and breaking out the sweatshirts and jackets! Soon, our front entry will have new fall flowers planted and we’ll start to notice the leaves turning colors before long.

We have a few announcements to post for this month:

Arrowhead Valley Annual Meeting

We are looking for a volunteer to host the AVHOA Annual Meeting. The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, October 29th at 7:00 PM! Please consider hosting and RSVP to info@arrowheadvalleyhoa.com by October 14th. We will discuss business and progress the association has made over the past year. We will also discuss financial and committee information and much more. Your Board members will be on-hand to answer other questions you may have. Most of the Board members have served 4+ years and we are looking for new member nominations. Please consider serving your neighborhood association. Current board member names and positions are posted on the Arrowhead Valley website and accessed through the “Contact” link on the website. We hope to see everyone at the meeting this year!

AVHOA Membership Directory Updates

Updates to the Arrowhead Valley Membership Directory will be completed soon after the Annual Meeting. All neighbors are asked to submit updated phone and email address information to info@arrowheadvalleyhoa.com. As always, membership information is only available to Arrowhead Valley home owners. Please contact a board member to gain password access to the directory. We are also working on adding a map of AV to the website.

Neighborhood Sales Scams

From time to time, the AVHOA Board receives notifications of potential door-to-door sales scams. Please keep in mind that anyone in Edmond soliciting MUST have a permit from the City of Edmond. The City of Edmond does a background check for validity before issuing the permit/badge. You have the right to ask any solicitor to show their permit. Obviously, we do have Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts and Edmond school children selling products or discount cards and these groups are usually required to be in uniform. Good common sense will usually prevent you from becoming a victim.

Traffic Patterns in Arrowhead Valley

The Board has noticed that neighbors have been doing a better job watching their speed on our streets. Thank you for taking care while driving through the neighborhood. We will still have children playing outside until it gets colder and, of course, we want to obey traffic laws when it comes to school bus loading/unloading too.

We hope everyone enjoys the fall season!
