Arrowhead Valley News

Fall has arrived….. With warm temperatures behind us, we can now look forward to cooler days and breaking out the sweatshirts and jackets! Soon, our front entry will have new fall flowers planted and we’ll start to notice the leaves turning colors before long.

We have a few announcements to post for this month:

Arrowhead Valley Annual Meeting

We are looking for a volunteer to host the AVHOA Annual Meeting. The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, October 29th at 7:00 PM! Please consider hosting and RSVP to info@arrowheadvalleyhoa.com by October 14th. We will discuss business and progress the association has made over the past year. We will also discuss financial and committee information and much more. Your Board members will be on-hand to answer other questions you may have. Most of the Board members have served 4+ years and we are looking for new member nominations. Please consider serving your neighborhood association. Current board member names and positions are posted on the Arrowhead Valley website and accessed through the “Contact” link on the website. We hope to see everyone at the meeting this year!

AVHOA Membership Directory Updates

Updates to the Arrowhead Valley Membership Directory will be completed soon after the Annual Meeting. All neighbors are asked to submit updated phone and email address information to info@arrowheadvalleyhoa.com. As always, membership information is only available to Arrowhead Valley home owners. Please contact a board member to gain password access to the directory. We are also working on adding a map of AV to the website.

Neighborhood Sales Scams

From time to time, the AVHOA Board receives notifications of potential door-to-door sales scams. Please keep in mind that anyone in Edmond soliciting MUST have a permit from the City of Edmond. The City of Edmond does a background check for validity before issuing the permit/badge. You have the right to ask any solicitor to show their permit. Obviously, we do have Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts and Edmond school children selling products or discount cards and these groups are usually required to be in uniform. Good common sense will usually prevent you from becoming a victim.

Traffic Patterns in Arrowhead Valley

The Board has noticed that neighbors have been doing a better job watching their speed on our streets. Thank you for taking care while driving through the neighborhood. We will still have children playing outside until it gets colder and, of course, we want to obey traffic laws when it comes to school bus loading/unloading too.

We hope everyone enjoys the fall season!
